Youth in the beef, dairy, horse, sheep and swine projects increase their decision making skills and knowledge of animals through judging and grading experiences at Animal Science Days.
Events Offered: Dairy Cattle Evaluation, Dairy Showmanship Contest, Dairy Poster Competition, Meat Animal Evaluation; Horse Judging Workshop, Hippology, Horse Poster Contest, Horse Drawing Contest, and Horse Photo Contest.
In addition, a variety of workshops are offered for small animal projects, which may include rabbits, poultry, dogs, cats or llamas.
AREA ANIMAL SCIENCE DAYS TENTATIVE PROGRAM SCHEDULE (May vary at each site)
Registration To be eligible for Area Animal Science Days, pre-registration must have been sent to the host county by the stated deadline. In addition, the individual must be a member of a 4-H club or FFA and must be between the ages of 8 through 19. Each county must enter their group by the announced entry deadline to enable proper planning. All contests will begin promptly at 9:00 am. 8:00 – 9:00 am
