2017 Buffalo County 4-H Horsemanship Clinic Registration

 

Check-In:   8:30- 9:00:  A negative current Coggins is required (bring original and copy).

Immunizations are recommended.

9:00    Orientation by lunch stand (required)

9:15    Clinic

Clinic is free for Buffalo County 4-H Horse and Horseless Project members. Participation  with a horse is optional  Spectators welcome.

Trempealeau or Pepin Co. members- $20.00 per family (availability depends on room).

Need to be a 4-H member in good standing w/ expectation form.

SEI APPROVED HELMETS AND BOOTS WITH HEELS ARE REQUIRED when riding.

 

*** Linda will provide BBQ/Hotdog lunch!!!  Please bring your own beverages and chair!***

 

Clinicians will be Laura Windmiller- English & Tammy Olson-Western

Showmanship

English/ Hunter Horsemanship

Leads, leg yielding & sidepassing

Show program cover design contest (explanation).

**After lunch there will be a mini Hippology session.*** After the clinic there will be a short meeting to plan some gymkhana events after the horseshow!!

 

Some additional things to remember:

Safety is always first…..

Dress according to the weather.

Bring water pail.

No tying horses to the fences etc.

Write down questions and concerns and bring along.

 

If you have tack or clothing that you no longer need you can bring along and someone may be looking for what you have!! Or return borrowed items to owner.

and experience and have fun doing it.
