Apply for the Buffalo County Dairy Leadership Crowley Award

The James W. Crowley 4-H Dairy Leadership Award program recognizes youth who have excelled in their dairy project. The James W. Crowley Dairy Management and Extension Fund (“Crowley Fund”) is the sponsor of these awards. Dr. James Crowley was a longtime state dairy extension specialist at UW-Madison and strong supporter of dairy youth projects. An engraved medallion will be presented yearly to the outstanding 4-H dairy project member in each county. Interested 4-H dairy project members are also eligible to compete for state recognition including plaques, cash awards, and a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

HOW TO APPLY FOR BUFFALO COUNTY RECOGNITION:

1. Applicant must be currently enrolled in the 4-H Dairy Project for at least three years.

2. Applicant must be an active 4-H member and in at least the 10th grade as of January 1, 2018 for 2018 award competition.

3. Applicant must have an outstanding record of involvement and accomplishments in the 4-H Dairy Project and other outside activities.

4. Applicant must submit a paragraph to annie.lisowski@ces.uwex.edu about how they have been a leader in the dairy industry in the last year by October 15, 2017.
