Outstanding 4-H Member Awards – Fogel and Fernholz

On Sunday, August 5 at the close of the 4-H Awards Program at the Buffalo County Fair, Annie Lisowski, Buffalo County 4-H Youth Development Educator, presented two Outstanding 4-H Member Awards to Naomi Fogel and Reece Fernholz.

Naomi Fogel was presented the recognition for her outstanding leadership as inaugural youth president of the Buffalo County 4-H Leaders Association during the 2017-2018 4-H year. Naomi is also an outstanding model for younger 4-H members in her Golden Hornets 4-H club and is a passionate leader in service-learning intiatives. Naomi Fogel is an outstanding 4-H member and Buffalo County Fair exhibitor – she swept the special awards in Flowers and Potted Plants department this year.

Reece Fernholz, a member of the Glencoe Hustlers 4-H Club, was awarded the honor of Outstanding 4-H Member for his leadership at 4-H Camp Kinnissippewa as a Junior Director this summer. Reece wrote about his experience in his application essay sharing that he has learned much about himself as a leader through role modeling for younger members and coaching his peers at camp. Reece is an active member in the beef and shooting sports 4-H projects and will be continuing his shooting sports career as part of a team in college this fall.
