State Fair Stitching Gives Warm Wishes in Buffalo County

Buffalo County 4-H offered ‘warm wishes’ to Buffalo County Human Servcies clientele involved in the Drug Endangered Children and Aging programs when Rachel Hovey of Lookout Legends 4-H and Abby George of Hilltop Climbers 4-H, presented social workers with several fleece blankets, stuffed animals, pillowcases and tote bags that were assembled and sewn by Buffalo County 4-H members and 2017 Wisconsin State Fair  Clothing Revue delegates.

At the thirteenth year of the Wisconsin State Fair Youth Expo was the “Warm Wishes: Stitching at State Fair” service-learning project, Buffalo County 4-H youth helped Fairgoers create hundreds of fleece quilts and other items that were donated to over 70 domestic violence and homeless shelters, hospitals and service organization in over 40 Wisconsin counties.
